What is Lap Plan?


Lap plan is a method to optimise the available people resources of a Department (Pool of People) to manage high volumes, shrinkages, backlogs, critical business activities which are unplanned and unexpectedly occurs in a function which is the most critical one in a particular given hours or days. 15%-20% of the shrinkage can be easily covered within the department if it has more than one function.


If your shrinkage is always more than 20%, following are the factors which needs to be reviewed and improved:


1. Review your policies of leave and scheduling

2. Review mangers checkin for attendance & on time login hours or People coming to work late%

3. Review Workload Assessment and Calculate FTE shortage
